River Falls, Wis. (uwrfsports.com) - The UW-River Falls men's hockey team took on the UW-Stout Blue Devils for the first time this season on February 2
nd, 2016.
Blake Busch scored with just 10 seconds remaining to defeat the Blue Devils 2-1. The Falcons outshot the Blue Devils 40 to 14.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Zach Quinn played in net for the Falcons and totaled 14 saves. He had 6 shots on net in the first period, 4 in the second, and another 4 in the third.
- The first period started off hot for both teams with many shots coming early on in the game.
- Nolan Kirley received a penalty at 4:30 in the first period for hooking. This was the first of many power play chances for the Falcons. The Falcons were unable to put the puck in the net and the score stayed 0-0.
- Danny Hamburg received a penalty on the Falcons for roughing at 7:27 in the period. The Blue Devils also didn't score keeping the game at zero.
- The Blue Devils scored shortly after at 9:35 to put UW-Stout up 1-0. The goal came from Austin Jackson and was assisted by Shayne McLaughlin and Dylan Zins.
- Connor Valesano received the Blue Devils second penalty of the game for checking at 16:43. UW-Stout was able to fend off the Falcons and stay up by 1 goal.
- At the end of the first period, Jeff Bergh received a penalty for hooking which would cross over to the second period.
- 1:46 into the second period, the Falcons were back on full strength and kept the Blue Devils from scoring.
- Mathias Ahman received a penalty for hooking at 7:37 in the second period. The Falcons were able to generate 8 shots on net, but unable to score to tie the game.
- Alex Toscano got another penalty shortly after to put UW-Stout back on penalty kill. The penalty was for interference at 11:44.
- Joe Drapluk scored the first goal for the Falcons at 17:14 to make the score 1-1. Michael Lant assisted the goal.
- At 17:24 in the second period, Jordan Stejskal received a penalty on UW-Stout for boarding. The Falcons were unable to score.
- Nolan Kirley received his second penalty of the game at 7:04 in the third period for holding. The Falcons didn't score.
- Ryan Gotelaere served a penalty for delay of game at 13:45 to put the Falcons on penalty kill. The Blue Devils were unable to score.
- With 10 seconds left in the game, Blake Busch scored on a breakaway to bring the team to their 11th win. The goal was assisted by Christian George.

- Spencer Viele played in net for the Blue Devils. He had a total of 40 saves and allowed 2 goals.
