RIVER FALLS, Wis. (uwrfsports.com) – The UW-River Falls men's basketball team got back on track picking up a WIAC conference win over UW-Stout. The Falcons took down the Blue Devils 96-68 Saturday afternoon at Page Arena.

WHAT HAPPENED
- The Falcons outscored the Blue Devils 42-29 in the first half.
- At the 10:09 mark, the Falcons jumped to a double digit lead and got as much as a 22 point difference after back to back three point shots by Chris Laymon and Alex Herink.
- The Blue Devils finished the half with back to back three point shots by Sam Ortmann, The Falcons led 42-26 at the half.
- The Falcons extended their lead in the second half scoring 54 points total.
- Chris Laymon hit back to back shots from downtown at the halfway mark putting the Falcons up 20. The team followed it up with a 17-5 run.
- Jalen Greenlee ended the second half with a five point run that secured a 28 point win, 96-68.
IN-DEPTH LOOK
- Brennan Witt notched a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds. He was 7-10 from the floor and added four assists and one steal.
- Alex Herink scored 12 points on 3-9 shooting. He was 2-3 from beyond the arc and 4-7 from the free throw line.
- Austin Heidecker came off the bench for 11 points. He was 4-5 from the floor and 3-5 from the charity stripe.
- Clay Seifert scored 10 points and had six assists and two steals.
- The Falcons shot 32-57 (56.1 percent) from the floor and connected on thirteen three pointers in 24 attempts. At the free throw line they were 19-24 (79.2 percent).
THE OPPOSITION
- The Blue Devils were led by Joe Duty who had 23 points. He was 9-18 from the floor.
- Isaac Elliot was 6-12 from the floor and 4-5 beyond the arc for 16 points.
- Sam Ortmann scored eleven points and shot 3-7 from beyond the arc.
- The Blue Devils were 21-53 (39.6 percent) from the floor and were 10-21 from the three point line. As a team the Blue Devils were 16-22 (72.7 percent) from the charity stripe.
