HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST GUSTAVUS ADOLPHUS
- The action was back and forth early until Cayden Cahill passed out of the corner to Joe Drapluk who managed to go upstairs on Robbie Goor for his 6th of the season, to give the Falcons a 1-0 lead.
- Quinn came up big after the goal with back-to-back saves from in the slot on Gustavus's Colin Hernon.
- The 2nd period saw plenty of action, but no scoring at all. The best chance for either team was by Gustavus late in the period. The Gusties caught UW-River Falls on a line change, and broke in 2-0 Zach Quinn, but a late check by UW-River Falls defenseman stopped the scoring chance.
- Early in the 3rd period the Gusties would tie the score up as Jake McCann would skate in on the wing, and his shot was blocked by Zach Quinn, but Quinn didn't get all of it and it trickled in to tie the score at 1-1.
- The Falcons went on the Power Play not long after, but the Gusties had the best chance early on as J.P. Epkyn broke in alone, but Cayden Cahill slashed him creating a Penalty Shot for Gustavus. J.P. Epkyn's attempt went wide keeping the score tied at 1..
- Moments later the Falcons regained the lead on the Power Play as Peter Karavos tapped in a puck that was sitting on the goal line for 2-1 lead.
- After that the Gusties put heavy pressure on Zach Quinn, and he stood tall the rest of the way turning away the rest of the shots he faced.
- Cayden Cahill put the game away with 2 seconds to go as he scored an empty net goal for his 7th goal of the season to make the final 3-1.
- Zach Quinn made 24 saves in net for the Falcons.
