RIVER FALLS, Wis. (uwrfsports.com) – The UW-River Falls men's basketball team hosted UW-Whitewater on Saturday afternoon at Page Arena.
Devin Buckley helped finish off the Warhawks late with a deep three pointer followed by a steal as the Falcons beat Warhawks 76-66.

WHAT HAPPENED
- The Warhawks got off to an early 9-3 lead as Derek Rongstad hit a 3-pointer at 15:39 of the first half.
- The Falcons chipped away and battled back to take their first lead of the game since the first basket of the game after a Brennan Witt layup at 10:45 of the first half.
- As the two teams earn every point early on, a Chris Laymon 3-pointer would keep the pressure right on the heels of the Warhawks as the Falcons would get within 1 point. Warhawks lead 27-26 with 6 minutes to play in the first half.
- The Falcons kept their foot on the pedal as a few free throws down the stretch would give the Falcons a 4 point lead heading into the break.
- The Falcons added to their lead with consistent play and a jumper that was knocked down from Alex Herink 3 minutes into the 2nd half.
