Platteville, Wis - (uwrfsports.com) The UW-River Falls softball team, after a couple weeks of bad weather, will finally open their WIAC schedule today, when they travel to play a doubleheader against UW-Whitewater. The games will be held at UW-Platteville because of the field conditions at Whitewater. The first game will begin at 5pm, with the second game to follow at approximately 7pm. The Falcons will stay in Platteville and play a doubleheader against the Pioneers on Saturday, with game 1 scheduled to start at 1pm. The double header scheduled for Sunday at home against UW-La Crosse has been postponed due to poor field conditions. The Falcons will host UW-La Crosse on Saturday April 28th in their home opener, with game 1 scheduled to start at 2pm.
