Cayden Cahill hit a last second shot to give the Falcons a 2-1 win over St. Olaf College Friday night at Hunt Arena.
The Oles were the first to score in the second period when they were awarded a power play opportunity after
Ryan Gotelaere was called for cross checking. The goal came at 11:50.
Mike Sauer tied it up at 10:29 in the third period when he slid the puck between the legs of the Ole goaltender. He was assisted on the play
Eddie Matsushima.
With just under two minutes remaining in the third period, the Oles were called for hooking and the Falcons went on the power play attack.
Cayden Cahill came up big scoring the game winning power play goal with three seconds remaining on clock. Assisting him on the play was
Christian Hausinger.
Joe Marcouiller picked up his third win of the season. He had 28 saves and only gave up one goal. The Falcons had 26 total shots in the game.
The Falcons host Bethel University Saturday night at 7:05 p.m.
