ST. PAUL, Minn. (uwrfsports.com) – The UW-River Falls men's hockey team suffered a tough 2-4 road loss against the University of St. Thomas Friday night.
Cayden Cahill got things started scoring the first goal of the night at 3:46 in the first period. He was assisted on the play by
Peter Karavos and
Eddie Matsushima. The Falcon offense stayed quiet until the third period when
Christian Hausinger scored on a pass from
Charlie Singerhouse. The goal came twelve seconds after the Tommies scored their fourth and final goal of the night. The goal was a power play opportunity after the Tommies were called for slashing.
The Tommies scored a goal in each period and had two in the third. They had 36 shots on goal.
Zach Quinn took the loss after putting up 32 saves.
Cayden Cahill led the offense with four shots on goal and a goal scored.
The Falcons will face off against Gustavus Adolphus Saturday night in St. Peter. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
