Falcons Face Off Against No. 3 Warhawks

RIVER FALLS, Wis. (uwrfsports.com) - The Falcons had a tough matchup ahead of them as they hosted the UW-Whitewater Warhawks Saturday afternoon.  The Warhawks are ranked No. 3 in the Division III College Football polls. The Falcons stayed consistent throughout the game, starting off the game with an early touchdown before ultimately falling to the Warhawks 28-49.

WHAT HAPPENED
  • The Falcons scored on the opening drive of the game accumulating 70 yards in 13 plays.  Ben Beckman ran in a 5-yard rush to give the Falcons their only lead of the game.
  • The Warhawks answered back with their own touchdown scoring on an 8-yard touchdown pass at 5:43.
  • On the Warhawks second drive, Alex Peete rushed for 59 yards to give the Warhawks a 14-7 lead. 
  • In the second quarter, the Warhawks scored their third touchdown on an 18-yard pass from Zach Oles to Sam DeLany at 7:24.
  • The Warhawks extended their lead to 28-13 on two back to back passes that accounted for 70 yards. 
  • The Warhawks scored two more touchdowns in the third quarter to give them a 42-13 lead.
  • In the fourth quarter Max Praschak intercepted an Oles pass to run it for 63 yards. 
  • The Falcons scored again at 3:35 when Jager Reissmann caught a 29-yard pass from Beckman.
  • The Warhawks scored one last time in the final two minutes of the game on a 15 yard run by JT Parish.
  • Ben Beckman had a total of 387 passing yards for the game and had a 5-yard touchdown on the first drive of the game.  He completed 40 of 57 attempts.
  • Kole Hinrichsen also contributed 24 passing yards for the Falcons in the fourth quarter.  He completed two of three attempts.
  • Luke Fugate and Tyler Blum were top contributors on the rushing end, both players gaining 50 yards in 17 attempts and 37 net yards in 12 carries respectively
  • Alex Herink had 15 catches for 143 yards and Alex Traxler had 116 receiving yards in 11 catches.
  • Jagger Reissmann scored his first touchdown of the season at the end of the fourth quarter and had 69 receiving yards
  • Max Praschak led the defensive for the afternoon with 11 tackles and a 63-yard pick-six in the beginning of the fourth quarter to run in for a Falcon touchdown
  • Additional contributors to the defense were Athen Ashton, D. Turner, Blake Gleason, and Jake Wadman with 5 tackles for Ashton and 4 tackles respectively for Turner, Gleason, and Wadman
  • Garrett Eddy received 6 of the kick returns, totaling for 117 yards
  • Antoin Kaloha intercepted the ball mid-way through the third quarter
  • Mason Cracker had six kickoffs totaling 279 yards, averaging 46.5 yards per kick
  • Bobby Patterson had two successful field goals in the second quarter of 28 and 37 yards
THE OPPOSITION
  • Alex Peete contributed 108 rushing yards and a touchdown for the Warhawks
  • Tyler Holte and Derek Kumerow both gained the team 70 and 61 receiving yards respectively as well as 1 and 2 touchdowns respectively  
  • Kaleb Kaminski and Matt Anderson both had 7 tackles for the afternoon
