Men's Hockey Ties Hamline

RIVER FALLS, Wis. (uwrfsports.com) – The UW-River Falls men's hockey team finished the night with an overtime tie against Hamline University.

HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST HAMLINE
  • Neither team could find the back of the net in the first period.  The Falcon offense battled hard putting 19 shots on goal but the Piper goalie was a brick wall. 
  • The Falcons scored first in the game, getting a goal early in the second period on a power play.  Ryan Cusin scored on a pass from Caydin Cahill and Christian Hausinger. 
  • The Pipers answered back in the third tying it up 1-1.
  • The teams went to overtime where the Pipers were the on ones to get a shot on goal. 
  • The Falcons had 33 shots on goal and goaltender Zach Quinn had 13 saves.
 
LOOKING AHEAD
The Falcons travel to Gustavus Adolphus for a nonconference matchup Saturday Nov. 16 at 7 p.m.
