Falcons Fall Just Short to Augsburg

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (uwrfsports.com) – The UW-River Falls men's basketball team travelled to Minneapolis to take on the Augsburg University.  Despite going into halftime with the lead, the Falcons came up just short and fell 76-79.

WHAT HAPPENED
  • The Falcons made 11-35 (31.4 percent) field goals in the first half, including 5 three-pointers.  Austin Werdin and Noah Hanson contributed two three-pointers each in the half.
  • UWRF gathered 17 2nd chance points on the night, seven in the first half off of seven offensive rebounds
  • The Falcons only scored two points off the bench in the first half, five total for the game.
  • Werdin led the Falcons with 10 points in the first half, hitting 3-4 from the field, 2-2 from behind the arc, and 2-2 from the free throw line.
  • UWRF went into half time with the lead, 31-29.
