RIVER FALLS, Wis.. (uwrfsports.com) – The UW-River Falls men's basketball team took down No. 8 Nebraska Wesleyan in a thrilling game Saturday at Page Arena. The Falcons gave the Prairie Wolves their second loss of the season with a 84-82 win.

WHAT HAPPENED AGAINST NEBRASKA WESLEYAN
- The Falcons jumped to an early lead scoring four threes in a row to lead by eleven points eights minutes into the first half.
- The Wolves answered back with a ten-point run that got them within three points of the Falcons. They finished out the half with an eight-point run to take the lead 40-37 going into the second half.
- The Falcons started the second half with back to back these to regain the lead.
- The two teams battled back and forth for the next five minutes until Noah Hanson hit a three pointer to give the Falcons a lead that they would carry through the majority of the second half.
- With 24 seconds remaining on the clock the Wolves took a one-point lead 82-81.
- Ross Ingersoll made a three-point shot with eight seconds on the clock giving the Falcons a two-point lead.
- The Falcons made 30-55 (54.5 percent) shots from the floor, including 18-30 (60 percent) from behind the arc. Noah Hanson led the Falcons with 23 points, hitting 7-9 from the downtown. Matt Keller and Noah had 14 second half points. Keller had 17 points. Shooting 6-for-10 from the floor. He made five threes.
- The Falcons finished with 33 rebounds and seven blocks.
THE OPPOSITION
- Nate Schimonitz had a game high 39 points. He was 16-for-26 from the floor.
- Overall Nebraska Wesleyan finished the game shooting 31-69 (44.9 percent) from the field, 6-20 (30 percent) from behind the arc, and 14-17 (82.4 percent) from the free throw line.
- The Wolves scored 23 points off of turnovers and 26 second chances points.

The Falcons now 6-3 on the season travel to Las Vegas, Nev., for the D3 Hopps Classic. The Falcons will take on New Jersey City University Sunday Dec. 29 at 6 PM MST.
