CLERMONT, Fla. (uwrfsports.com) – The UW-River Falls softball team picked up two shutout wins in their final day of the Spring Games Tournament. The Falcons defeated Colby College 9-0 in five innings and then defeated University of Chicago 6-0.

WHAT HAPPENED VS COLBY
- Kaia Dorn led off the game with a single and then stole second base. She was drove in by two groundouts before the inning ended.
- In the third inning, Allison Kondzela doubled to center field to put a runner in scoring position. Kaia Dorn moved her to third with a ground out to shortstop. Hannah Theobald drove her in with a double to center field.
- Molly Kaspar hit a triple to the right side to bring in Theobald and give the Falcons a 3-0 lead.
- Lexi Dupee singled to shortstop bringing in Kaspar for the fourth run of the inning.
- UWRF scored two more runs in the top of the fourth. Bri Daechsel led off with a single and Karina Monson moved her to third base on a single to right field. Dorn singled to center field scoring the first run. Hannah Theobald walked on bases loaded to bring in a run.
- In the fifth the Falcons scored three runs on five hits. Ali Krohn scored after leading off the inning with a single. Dorn hit a sac fly to center field that brought in McKenzie Cota. Hannah Theobald singled to left field to bring in Allison Kondzela.
- Hannah Stegeman got the five-inning shutout win. She only allowed three hits and struck out four.
- The Falcons finished the game with 6 runs off 10 hits.

WHAT HAPPENED VS CHICAGO
- Hannah Theobald doubled in the first inning and Allison Kondzela singled to right field to score Theobald to give the Falcons a first inning lead.
- Chicago started out the second inning with a single but the Falcon defense kept them quiet throwing out a runner trying to steal second base and then back to back strikeouts.
- The Falcons scored again in the bottom of the third inning. Theobald led off with a single to right field. Molly Kaspar advanced her to second on single.
- Allison Kondzela drove in Theobald and Kaspar on a single to left field.
- Theobald drove in two more runs in the bottom of the fourth on a double.
- The Falcons scored their final run in the bottom of the 6th when Molly Kaspar sent a long fly ball out to left field and Noelle Senour came in.
- Payton Speckel got the win in the circle for the Falcons. She struck out five batters and only allowed four hits.
- The Falcons finished the game with 9 runs off 14 hits.
