RIVER FALLS, Wis. (uwrfsports.com) - The Falcons cruised to an 18-1 victory over Dubuque in their largest margin of victory this season at Ramer Field on Tuesday afternoon. UW-River Falls dominated in all categories against the Spartans, notably having a 39-4 advantage on shots and only needing to make one save.

Sophia Leong and
Emma Moonen all finished with hat tricks, and the Falcons had eight different players score in the 17-goal route.

Hanna Helms and Springman each scored goals in the opening 10 minutes to take an early 5-0 lead. Kori King responded with Dubuque's only goal of the day with 18 minutes remaining in the first half, but
Krystal Fischer added her second goal of the season before Springman and Leong each found the back of the net once more to take an 8-1 lead into the break. UWRF held a 22-1 advantage in shots in the first 30 minutes and forced 10 saves out of Dubuque goalie Kaley Weir.
Kohlbeck and Moonen each scored their hat tricks entirely in the second half, and Kohlbeck has now recorded a hat trick in her last five appearances for UWRF. Kohlbeck also had two assists to aid in the 10 Falcon goals in the second half. UWRF committed 19 fewer turnovers than the Spartans and finished 11 of their 15 clear attempts. Jablonski led the team with six draw controls and five ground balls, while Springman had a game-high eight shots. Weir made 14 saves in goal for Dubuque, but UWRF's
Grace Ross only had to make a single save throughout the entire game. King led Dubuque with a game-high eight draw controls.
UWRF is now 8-5 in their inaugural season and will next host Augsburg on Sunday at 2 p.m.
