MADISON, Wis. (uwrfsports.com) – In their first match of the season the UW-River Falls women's tennis team picked up an 6-3 win over the Milwaukee School of Engineering.

HOW IT HAPPENED
SINGLES

• The Falcons took five of the six matches.
• In the No. 1 singles match Isabella Kranz lost 0-6, 1-6.
• Olivia Watzke won the No. 2 singles 6-3, 6-3.
• Kailey Courteau won 6-3, 6-2 in the No. 3 singles.
• In No. 4 singles Gabby Potthoff took the match 4-6, 7-5, 10-1.
• Abby Reed won 6-2, 6-0 in the No. 5 spot.
• Karyn Duddeck won the final match in the No. 6 spot 6-3, 6-3.

 
DOUBLES

• In doubles play the Falcons took one of three matches.
• Karyn Duddeck and Abby Reed teamed up to win No. 3 doubles 8-4. 

 
LOOKING AHEAD
The Falcons will travel to UW-Whitewater to take on the Warhawks and Alverno College on Sunday.
