Men's Basketball Takes Loss on the Road

OSHKOSH, Wis. (uwrfsports.com) – The UW-River Falls men's basketball traveled to Oshkosh on Saturday evening to take on the Titans.  The Falcons took the loss 62-89.

WHAT HAPPENED
  • The Falcons made 13-27 (48.1 percent) field goals in the first half, including 2-8 from behind the arc.  Jack Stensgard led the Falcons in the first half with 11 points, shooting 4-8 from the floor, including 1-3 from beyond the arc.  Stensgard also went 2-2 from the free throw line.
  • The Falcons scored just two points off the bench in the first half, 18 total for the game.
  • UWRF went into halftime trailing 34-43.
  • The Falcons shot 28.9 percent from the field in the second half (11-38), hitting 3-15 from behind the arc.  As a team, they made 3-3 from the free throw line.
  • Ross Ingersoll, Alex Ohde, and Ben Recksiedler each scored five points in the second half, leading the Falcons.
  • River Falls scored 26 points in the paint on the night, 12 coming in the second half.
  • The Falcons scored six points off of turnovers overall, five in the second half, off 10 Titan turnovers.

  • Stensgard was the team's high scorer finishing with 14 points off of 5-10 shooting, 2-5 from three.  He also made 2-2 from the free throw line and recorded 2 assists.
  • Noah Hanson and Julian Jackson finished the game with 10 points each.
