Falcons Basketball Falls to UW-Eau Claire

RIVER FALLS, Wis. (uwrfsports.com) – The UW-River Falls men's basketball hosted UW-Eau Claire on Wednesday night.  Despite a tough contest, the Falcons fell to the Blugolds 73-81.

WHAT HAPPENED
  • The Falcons made 10-23 (43.5 percent) field goals in the first half, including 4-10 from behind the arc.  Julian Jackson led the Falcons in the first half with 10 points, shooting 2-4 from the floor and hitting 6-8 from the free throw line.
  • The Falcons scored five points off the bench in the first half, 14 total for the game.
  • UWRF went into halftime trailing 31-43.
  • The Falcons shot 53.3 percent from the field in the second half (16-30), hitting 4-12 from behind the arc.  As a team, they made 6-9 from the free throw line.
  • Jackson also led the Falcons in the second half, scoring 17 on 7-10 shooting.
  • River Falls scored 30 points in the paint on the night, 22 coming in the second half.
  • The Falcons scored eight points off of turnovers overall, all coming in the second half, off six Blugold turnovers.
