DuDonis to Support Samaritan Feet Charity

RIVER FALLS, Wis. (uwrfsports.com) - The University of Wisconsin-River Falls head women's basketball coach Blake DuDonis will support the Samaritan's Feet charity by coaching in his bare feet Friday (Jan. 31) as the Falcons host Mount Mary University in a non-conference matchup.

"Samaritan's Feet is honored to have Coach Blake DuDonis join our barefoot movement. We have watched him evolve as our 1st ever student-athlete supporter turned barefoot coach to help millions around the world who do not have access to proper footwear," said Manny Ohonme, Founder and CEO of Samaritan's Feet. "It is so inspiring when coaches like Blake use their platform to come alongside us so that together, we can work towards creating a world with zero shoeless children. Thank you, Coach Blake, for your efforts to help serve children with hope and a new pair of shoes."

Fans in attendance at the Mount Mary contest on Friday will have the opportunity to donate to the cause. Cash donations, as well as checks made out to Samaritan's Feet, will be collected at the entrance of Don Page Arena. Anyone making a donation of any size will be entered to win a UWRF women's basketball prize pack.

"I'm really excited to be partnering with Samaritan's Feet and to be coaching this game barefoot to help awareness for the millions of children around the world who don't have access to something as simple as shoes," DuDonis said. "This is an organization I had the chance to work with as a high school student and the impact of the work they do has stayed with me all these years. I'm thrilled to play a small part in giving back."
