Men's Basketball Fall Just Short in Road Loss

STEVENS POINT, Wis. (uwrfsports.com) – The UW-River Falls men's basketball traveled to UW-Stevens Point on Wednesday evening.  The Falcons fell to the Pointers 59-61.

WHAT HAPPENED
  • The Falcons made 9-32 (28.13 percent) field goals in the first half, including 4-14 from behind the arc.  Noah Hanson led the Falcons in the first half with 17 points, shooting 6-9 from the floor and hitting 4-7 from three point.
  • The Falcons scored 3 points off the bench in the first half, 13 total for the game.
  • UWRF went into halftime trailing, 26-30.
  • The Falcons shot 41.4 percent from the field in the second half (12-29), hitting 2-12 from behind the arc.  As a team, they made 7-11 from the free throw line.
  • Julian Jackson led the Falcons in the second half, scoring 9 on 4-6 shooting.
  • River Falls scored 30 points in the paint on the night, 20 coming in the second half.
  • The Falcons scored 16 points off of turnovers overall, capitalizing on 12 Pointer turnovers.
