Men's Baketball Fall on the Road

RIVER FALLS, Wis. (uwrfsports.com) – The UW-River Falls men's basketball team were on the road on Wednesday visiting UW-La Crosse.  The Falcons fell to the Eagles 72-80.

WHAT HAPPENED
  • The Falcons made 13-24 (54.2 percent) field goals in the first half, including 6-10 from behind the arc.  Jack Stensgard and Noah Hanson led the Falcons in the first half with 9 points each.
  • UWRF gathered nine 2nd chance points on the night, six coming in the second half, off nine offensive rebounds total.
  • The Falcons scored 12 points off the bench in the first half, 19 total for the game.
  • UWRF went into half time down 34-37.
  • The Falcons shot 48.1 percent from the field in the second half (13-27), hitting 4-11 from behind the arc.  As a team, they made 8-15 from the free throw line (53.3 percent).
  • Matt Keller led the Falcons with 11 points in the second half, hitting 4-5 from the field, as well as 2-4 from the free throw line.
  • River Falls scored 26 points in the paint on the night.
  • The Falcons scored seven points off of turnovers in the game off of six Pointer turnovers.

  • Stensgard was the team's high scorer finishing with 17 points off of 7-10 shooting, 3-5 from three point.  He also recorded 5 assists.
  • Keller and Hanson finished with 13 and 12 points respectively.
