Falcons Fall at Home

RIVER FALLS, Wis. (uwrfsports.com) – The UW-River Falls men's basketball was defeated by UW-La Crosse on Wednesday night.  The Falcons fell to the Eagles 70-86.

  • The Falcons made 11-21 (52.4 percent) field goals in the first half, including 4-11 from behind the arc.  Austin Werdin led the Falcons in the first half with 11 points, shooting 3-4 from the floor., including 2-2 from three point. 
  • The Falcons scored 16 points off the bench in the first half, 25 total for the game.
  • UWRF went into halftime trailing 33-36.
  • The Falcons shot 43.8 percent from the field in the second half (14-32), hitting 2-12 from behind the arc (16.7 percent).
  • Noah Hanson led the Falcons in the second half, scoring 12 on shooting 4-10 from the field.
  • River Falls scored 36 points in the paint on the night, 24 coming in the second half.
  • The Falcons scored five points overall off 13 Eagle turnovers.

  • Alex Ohde was the team's high scorer finishing with 17 points off of 6-13 shooting.  He also recorded six rebounds.
