RIVER FALLS, Wis. (uwrfsports.com) – The UW-River Falls men's basketball was defeated by UW-Oshkosh on Saturday evening.  The Falcons fell to the 2nd ranked Titans 64-74.

WHAT HAPPENED

• The Falcons made 10-33 (30.3 percent) field goals in the first half, including 2-9 from behind the arc.  Jack Stensgard led the Falcons in the first half with 11 points, shooting 5-8 from the floor. 
• The Falcons scored six points off the bench in the first half, 17 total for the game.
• UWRF went into halftime trailing 25-39.
• The Falcons shot 48.4 percent from the field in the second half (15-31), hitting 5-11 from behind the arc (45.5 percent).
• Noah Hanson led the Falcons in the second half, scoring 13 on shooting 3-7 from the field, all coming from behind the arc.
• River Falls scored 30 points in the paint on the night, 14 coming in the second half.
• The Falcons scored six points overall off nine Titan turnovers.

 
IN-DEPTH LOOK

• Noah Hanson was the team's high scorer finishing with 17 points off of 4-11 shooting, as well as hitting 5-7 from the free throw line.  He also recorded five rebounds.
• Overall the Falcons went 25-64 from the floor (39.1 percent), 7-20 from three-point (35 percent), and 7-9 from the free throw line. 

THE OPPOSITION

• Jack Flynn and Adam Fravery led the Titans with 19 points each.
• Overall Oshkosh finished the game shooting 26-60 (43.3 percent) from the field, 8-21 (38.1 percent) from behind the arc, and 14-19 (73.7 percent) from the free throw line.

 
LOOKING AHEAD
The Falcons will play UW-La Crosse at La Crosse on Tuesday, Feb. 25 in the first round of the WIAC Championship Tournament.  Game time is 7 p.m.
