RIVER FALLS, Wis. (uwrfsports.com) – The UW-River Falls men's hockey team scored seven goals en route to defeating UW-Stout to advance to the second round of the WIAC Championships. The Falcons won the first game 3-1 and then won the min game 3-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST UW-STOUT
- Joel Frazee scored a pair of goals in the first period giving the Falcons a 2-0 lead to start out the game. His first came at 8:03 and was assisted on the goal by Sam Anzai and Josh Arnold. He scored again in the final minute of the period and this time Anzai assisted.
- The Falcons scored twice more in the third period. Christian Hausinger scored at 1:44 to give the Falcons a 3-0 lead.
- With two minutes remaining on the clock, Josh Arnold scored a shot hand goal.
- The Blue Devils broke the shutout with a goal at 18:48.
- The Falcons had 23 shots on goal.
- Zach Quinn stopped 28 of 29 shots.
- With the Falcon win a mini game was needed to determine which team would move on to the WIAC semifinals.
- Christian Hausinger, Ryan Cusin and Cayden Cahill each scored to give the Falcons a 3-0 win to advance to the second round.

The Falcons advance to the second round of the WIAC Championships where they will take on the defending national champion and No. 2 seed UW-Stevens Point February 28-29.
