STEVENS POINT, Wis. (uwrfsports.com) – The UW-River Falls men's hockey team fell 1-4 Friday night to No. 7 UW-Stevens Point in the semifinal game of the WIAC Tournament.

HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST UW-STEVENS POINT

• The Pointers struck first scoring a goal just three minutes into the first half.
• Gabe Wahl tied the game up 1-1 with an unassisted goal at 4:09 in the second period. 
• The Pointers took back the lead with a goal just forty seconds after the Falcons goal. 
• The Pointers scored another goal in the final minute of the second period and then a final fourth goal in the third period at 12:11.
• The Falcons had 28 total shots on goal.  Josh Arnold led the Falcons with five total shots. 
• Zach Quinn had a season high forty saves in the game.

 
LOOKING AHEAD
The Falcons rematch against the Pointers Saturday night in hopes of forcing a game three mini game.  Puck drop is 7 p.m. at the KB Willett Arena.
