RIVER FALLS, Wis. (uwrfsports.com) – The UW-River Falls men's hockey team bounced back from their loss to Superior on Thursday night to defeat the Yellowjackets in dominating fashion 5-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST UW-SUPERIOR

• The Falcons spared no time in getting on the board scoring a goal at 1:40 by Chase Davidson.  Assisting him on the goal was Peter Karavos and Peter Grytdahl.
• The Yellowjackets tied the game up 1-1 at 7:39 in the first.
• The Falcons took back the lead when Charlie Singerhouse flicked one to the top right shelf of the goal at 16:51.
• Jackson Nauss scored the lone goal of the second period on a power play opportunity.
• The Falcons scored two more goals in the third period.  The first was at 13:23 by Gabe Wahl.  His goal gave the Falcons a 4-1 lead.
• Jake Skolnik scored the Falcons fifth goal at 16:32 on a pass from Aussie Miller and Joel Frazee.
• The Falcons edged out the Yellowjackets in shots outshooting them 28-24.
• Zach Quinn had a strong performance in goal stopping 23 shots and only giving up the single goal. 

 
LOOKING AHEAD
With the win, the Falcons tie Superior in WIAC points and move to third place in the WIAC rankings.   The Falcons finish out the regular season at home with a two-game series against top ranked UW-Eau Claire.  First game of the series will be Friday February 14 with 7:05 puck drop.
