THE SERIES
- Saturday's matchup will mark the 24th all-time matchup between UW-River Falls and UW-Eau Claire, with the Blugolds holding a 12-11 series advantage.
- A competitive matchup as of late, the Falcons and Blugolds have gone 5-5 over the last 10 meetings.
- Most recently, the two teams be in 2019, a 27-14 UWEC victory in Eau Claire.
LAST TIME OUT
The Falcons improved to 4-1 on the season with a 56-20 road win at UW-Stevens Point last Saturday, Oct. 9. UWRF compiled a season-high 305 rushing yards and limited the Pointers to just 65 rushing yards.
Senior running back
Luke Fugate rushed for a career-high 169 yards and accounted for four Falcon touchdowns, totaling three on the ground and one through the air. He was awarded the RCU Male Falcon of the Week award.
FALCON NOTES
- The Falcons received three votes in the latest D3football.com top 25 poll, marking the third week in which UWRF has received votes in the national rankins.
- UWRF's average of 48.8 points per game and 34 touchdowns leads the WIAC.
- Andy Groebner's seven receiving touchdowns is tied for the WIAC lead.
- He leads the UWRF receiving core with 18 catches for 340 yards and has recorded at least one touchdown in four of five games.
- Starting quarterback Kole Hinrichsen has completed 117 (2nd/WIAC) passes for 1,340 yards (3rd/WIAC).
- Kicker Cade Henry leads the conference with 37 points and is 31-for-33 on PAT attempts.
- Defensive backs Dylan Brown and Calvin Rosen lead the WIAC with six and five pass breakups, respectively.
