RIVER FALLS, Wis. - The UW-River Falls football team is set for its 2021 regular season finale this Saturday, Nov. 13 at No. 19-ranked UW-Oshkosh.

The Falcons improved to 7-2 overall and 4-2 in the WIAC with a 57-35 win over UW-Stout on Nov. 6 in Menomonie, Wis. UWRF compiled 666 yards of total offense, including a season-high 325 rushing yards led by running back
Luke Fugate. Fugate rushed for a career-high 247 yards with three rushing touchdowns from 65, 43, and 74 yards out.
Defensively, UWRF limited Stout to 47 rushing yards.
Dominique Turner and
Aaron Borgerding led the team with five tackles each.
Kyle Burkhardt tallied 1.5 sacks for a loss of 10 Blue Devil yards.
AGAINST THE TITANS
Saturday's matchup will mark the 65th all-time meeting between UW-River Falls and UW-Oshkosh, with the Falcons owning a 34-29-1 series advantage.
The two teams last met in 2019, a 41-20 Titan victory in Oshkosh. UWO has maintained a 14-game winning streak against UWRF, with the most recent Falcon victory coming in 2005 - a 13-10 win.
RECORD BREAKERS
At UW-Stout,
Kole Hinrichsen threw four touchdown passes, including one to Andy Groener. Hinrichsen broke a UWRF program record with his 22nd passing TD of the season while Groebner also broke a Falcon single-season record with his 10th receiving TD on the year.
On Oct. 23 versus No. 3-ranked UW-Whitewater,
Cade Henry made four PAT attempts to tally his 40th on the season, breaking a UWRF single-season record.
FUGATE GARNERS WEEKLY AWARDS
For his effort at UW-Stout with three touchdowns and 325 rushing yards,
Luke Fugate earned a spot on the D3football.com Team of the Week, was named the WIAC Offensive Player of the Week, and the Royal Credit Union Male Falcon of the Week.
FALCON NOTES
- For the sixth week this season, UWRF garnered votes in the D3football.com Division III Top 25 poll. The Falcons earned a season-high 17 votes in this week's rankings.
- UWRF's seven wins is the most in a season since 1998 and the most wins under 11th year head coach Matt Walker.
- The Falcons own the top-scoring offense in the WIAC and 15th-best in NCAA DIII, averaging 44.6 points per game with 56 total touchdowns.
- On the ground, UWRF leads the WIAC with 241.9 rushing yards per game, with 30 rushing touchdowns, led by running back Luke Fugate and quarterback Kole Hinrichsen.
- Fugate's 11 rushing touchdowns ranks second-best in the WIAC while Hinrichsen's eight rushing scores is the sixth-most.
- Hinrichsen ranks second in the WIAC and 19th nationally in total offense, averaging 302.7 yards per game.
- The Falcons rank atop of the WIAC with a total of 251 first downs, while also leading the league on opponent third down conversions, limiting their opponents to a conversion rate of 28.9 percent.
- Defensive lineman Ted Androli leads the WIAC with 12 tackles for loss and second with five sacks.
- Defensive back Dylan Brown ranks second in the WIAC with nine passes defended (nine breakups, one interception).
- Wide receiver Andy Groebner is tied for the WIAC-lead with 10 receiving touchdowns. He has scored in all but three games this season.
- Kicker Cade Henry leads the WIAC with 50 made PAT attempts.
