Box Score Starting the abbreviated season on the road in the ever-difficult WIAC, the Falcons of UW-River Falls were able to get things started on a positive note, defeating the Blue Devils of UW-Stout by a score of 82-77.

The Falcon started things off with the first score of the game, a layup by
Alex Ohde, but halfway through the 1
st half it was the Blue Devils who led the game 21-18. Several minutes later though,
Jake Reeck forced a turnover that led to a three-point shot made by
Jack Stensgard, a play that saw momentum swing the Falcons way.

UWRF ended the half on a 10-4 run that put them up at halftime 44-38.

The Falcons also started the second half of the game strong, starting off with a made three by
Noah Hanson. Eventually, the lead for the Falcons swelled to as much as 21 points. The Blue Devils didn't go away quietly, clawing back and drawing within one point with five minutes to go, but Hanson responded by hitting another three to push the lead back out. The lead hovered around that point for the rest of the game and the Falcons were able to come away with a five point victory.

Hanson finished the game with a game high 28 points while Ohde contributed 17. Stensgard and
Bryce Phillips tallied 13 and 11 points, respectively.

The Falcons will take on UW-Stout again on Friday, February 5, 2021, this time at home in Page Arena at 7pm.
