RIVER FALLS, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-River Falls volleyball team is set to return to the court this week with five matches on deck during the opening week of the 2021 season.

UWRF will travel to St. Paul, Minn. on Wednesday, Sept. 1 to face St. Catherine University prior to heading south to Iowa to compete in the Sugar Loaf Classic at Wartburg College Sept. 3 and Luther College Sept. 4.

The Falcons return to a full schedule for the first time since 2019, missing out on a season in 2020 due to COVID-19. UWRF will host Wisconsin-Eau Claire during the home opener and Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference opener on Sept. 15 at Page Arena.

Patti Ford enters her 30th year at the helm of the program, having compiled a 610-396 career record. Most recently during the 2019 season, the Falcons compiled a 22-13 overall record with a 3-4 WIAC ledger.

Notable returners include juniors Sarah Langlois (River Falls, Wis.) and Haley Cuba (Shawnee, Kan.), along with senior Katie Koerper (Hammond, Wis.).
