RIVER FALLS, Wis. - The UW-River Falls men's hockey team is set for a home and home WIAC series versus Northland College this week, traveling to Ashland, Wis., Thursday night before hosting the Lumberjacks Saturday night at Hunt Arena.

UWRF split a WIAC series versus No. 13-ranked UW-Stevens Point over the weekend at Hunt Arena, winning 3-2 Friday evening before the Pointers salvaged a series split with a 4-1 win on Saturday.
On Friday, the Falcons erased a 2-1 deficit in the third period with a game-tying goal from
Cory Schillo and the game-winner from
Noah Roofe on the power play.
Dysen Skinner made a career-high 40 saves while
Cayden Cahill logged three assists.
THE SERIES
The Falcons have maintained a 12-2 series advantage over Northland, including five consecutive wins over the Lumberjacks.
Earlier this season, UWRF defeated Northland 2-0 on Nov. 20 at Hunt Arena.
Caleb Anderson and
Gibb Coady scored goals while
Dysen Skinner logged 21 saves en route to earning his first shutout of the season.
FALCON NOTES
- While the Falcons' 5.63 penalties per game is second most in the WIAC, UWRF owns the second-best penalty kill, turning away 69 of 80 opponent's power plays.
- UWRF's .520 faceoff winning percentage is third best in the WIAC. Centers Sam Anzai and Noah Roofe rank third and fourth in the league with .566 and .553 faceoff winning percentages, respectively.
- A balanced Falcon offense has led to 14 skaters with at least two goals, and five with at least four goals, led by seven from Noah Roofe.
- Noah Ganske is the top-scoring defender in the WIAC and the Falcons' leading scorer with 14 points (T-7th/WIAC) off three goals and 11 assists.
- Senior forward Caleb Anderson leads the WIAC with three game-winning goals.
- Sophomore goaltender Dysen Skinner has started in 13 of 19 games and has compiled an 8-5 record, tied for the second-most wins in the WIAC.
