RIVER FALLS, Wis. – The UW-River Falls women's soccer team and UW-Stevens Point finished in a 1-1 draw Saturday afternoon at Ramer Soccer Stadium.
The Falcons collected a point in the WIAC standings while their overall record moved to 9-3-4 and 0-3-1 in the WIAC.
Kassidy Mackie opened the game's scoring at the 21st minute, burying a feed from
Lexi Peterson for her fourth goal of the season. The Falcons led 1-0 at halftime, but the Pointers took just a couple minutes into the second half to the the game at one apiece, where it stood for the remainder of regulation.
UWSP held a 16-9 edge in shot attempts, while the shots on goal were 6-6 each. Both teams had good looks but couldn't break the tie in the final 45 minutes, with shots even at 6-6.
Moya Murray led the Falcons with a pair of shots on goal.
Kaylie Krueger made five saves in net as her record moves to 3-2-3 on the year.
UWRF continues WIAC action at home next Wednesday, hosting UW-Stout.
