No. 17 Falcons to host No. 16 Titans

LAST TIME OUT
  • The Falcons opened WIAC competition last Saturday during Homecoming in River Falls, defeating UW-Stevens Point 56-3. The attendance total of 3,779 fans was the most at David Smith Stadium since Sept. 8, 2007, a matchup versus Saint John's University that featured 4,200 fans.
  • UWRF limited the Pointers to just six first downs and 104 yards of total offense while accumulating 603 yards of total offense.
  • Quarterback Kaleb Blaha accounted for five of UWRF's eight touchdowns, throwing three and rushing in a pair. Defensive back Michael Brown had two interceptions, including a 40-yard return for a touchdown.
THE SERIES
  • Saturday's matchup will mark the 66th all-time meeting between UW-River Falls and UW-Oshkosh, with the Falcons owning a 34-30-1 series advantage. 
    Last season, the Falcons defeated the then-ranked No. 19 Titans 28-21 in Oshkosh, Wis. It marked the first Falcon victory over UWO since 2005.

FALCON NOTES
  • Through four games, UWRF owns the top offense in the WIAC, averaging 570 yards of total offense (4th/NCAA).
  • Nationally, the Falcons own the second-best rushing defense, averaging 29.5 yards against per game.
  • Kaleb Blaha leads the WIAC in total offense, averaging 309.5 yards per game (14th/NCAA). He leads the WIAC with 11 passing touchdowns and is the second leading rusher in the league (96.3 yds per game).
  • Running back Michael Krueger is tied for the WIAC scoring lead with seven total touchdowns. He rushed for the first three of his career in the season opener at Elmhurst University and has scored in three of four games.
  • Sophomore linebacker Andrew Schumacher leads the WIAC with three pass breakups and two interceptions.
