PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – The UW-River Falls women's soccer team fell 3-1 during a WIAC road match Saturday afternoon at UW-Platteville.
The Falcons, now 9-3-2 overall and 0-2 during WIAC competition, conceded two second half goals after a tie game at halftime en route to suffering the loss.
Platteville opened the scoring early on, scoring just over two minutes into the contest.
Kassidy Mackie then tied up the game at the 34th minute, her third of the season assisted by
Lexi Peterson.
UWP held a 7-3 shot advantage after the first 45 minutes.
Despite the Falcons more than doubling its shot total in the second half, the Pioneers took just seven minutes into the second half to earn a 3-1 advantage, and held the visiting Falcons scoreless in the final 45.
UWP led 6-3 in corner kicks.
Kaylie Krueger made four saves in net while taking the loss, moving her record to 3-2-2.
UWRF moves back into nonconference action next week, heading to the College of St. Scholastica on Wednesday.
