FALCON NOTES
  • The Falcons were picked to finish sixth in the 2022-23 WIAC Women's Basketball Preseason Poll.
    • UWRF returns All-WIAC First Team member Macy Nilsen, who led the Falcons last season with 14.8 points per game.
    • The 2021-22 Falcons turned in a coming off a 12-13 overall record and 4-9 WIAC ledger, falling in the second round of the WIAC Tournament. UWRF totaled its most WIAC wins since 2018-19, the first WIAC Tournament win since 2016-17, and the most overall wins since 2017-18. The team also broke the program record for most made three-pointers in a season, totaling 206, which was also the fourth highest mark in WIAC history.
  • Shelby Lyman will embark on her first season as the UWRF interim head coach in 2022-23. She spent the previous three seasons as an assistant coach for the Falcons.
  • The Falcons unofficially opened the season with an exhibition game at the University of Minnesota on Oct. 30, falling 104-64.
