RIVER FALLS, Wis. — UW-River Falls head volleyball coach Dipen Patel announced the addition of Rylee Forshee to the coaching staff as an assistant coach.
Forshee, a recent graduate of Bethel University, helped guide the Royals to the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Playoffs in each of her five seasons.
She joins head coach Dipen Patel, who was hired as UWRF volleyball head coach in February, and lead assistant Beth Raebel on the Falcon volleyball coaching staff.
"I am extremely excited to have the pleasure of bringing Coach Forshee to join our UWRF Volleyball coaching staff," said Patel. "Rylee is a young and passionate coach and is eager to learn and have an opportunity to begin her collegiate coaching career. She is extremely knowledgeable about the game and brings a strong communicative and coaching presence for our team."
During her senior year at Bethel in 2021, the Royals won the MIAC regular season championship and were runners-up in the conference tournament, earning an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament and reaching the second round.
"I'm thrilled to join the Falcon family this season," said Forshee. "While playing in the MIAC, I have deeply admired the competitiveness and high level of play throughout the WIAC. I am especially excited to be in River Falls alongside Dipen, Beth, and the Falcon athletics department, challenging and supporting our student-athletes both on and off the court."
A native of Eyota, Minn., Forshee's coaching experience includes three years with Minnesota Select Volleyball Club at the U15 and U17 levels.
"Coach Rylee's role will be to help with the further development of our serve receive and defensive strategies. and I look forward to working with her and having her a part of our Falcon volleyball family," Patel concluded.
