RIVER FALLS, Wis. – UW-River Falls head volleyball coach Dipen Patel released the Falcons' 2022 schedule on Friday, May 13.

Patel, who was hired as UWRF's next head volleyball coach in February of 2022, brings over nine years of coaching experience, including positions at the Division I, II, and III levels. Most recently, Patel was the lead assistant coach at fellow WIAC member University of Wisconsin-La Crosse since 2019, where he helped guide the Eagles to a pair of WIAC Tournament appearances while receiving the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Thirty Under 30 Award.

In 2021, UWRF turned in a 15-14 overall record, a schedule that featured several national and regionally ranked opponents. The Falcons will return Sami Hilley and Katie Koerper, who both garnered All-WIAC Honorable Mention laurels.

The 2022 campaign opens on Aug. 27 with an exhibition match against the reigning national champions, UW-Eau Claire. UWRF then offically opens the regular season with four matches at the Macalester College Tournament Sept. 2-3 in St. Paul, Minn.

The Falcons host Carleton College on Sept. 7 for the home opener at Page Arena, and will host UW-La Crosse on Sept. 14 for the WIAC opener.
