ASHLAND, Wis. – The UW-River Falls women's soccer team remained undefeated with a 3-0 victory at Northland College Saturday afternoon.
The Falcons, now 4-0-1 overall, earned their fourth shutout of the season.
Aliviah McClinton,
Kassidy Mackie, and
Erin Christensen scored the Falcon goals, while UWRF outshot the Lumberjills 25-4.
Mackie scored the game-winner at the 38
th minute, assisted by
Elizabeth Felty, and UWRF led 1-0 at halftime.
The Falcons limited the home team to just one shot attempt in the second half while adding a pair of goals, including the first of Christensen's career and McClinton's team-leading third goal of the year.
Grace Zellmer made her first start of the season in goal and totaled three saves en route to the shutout.
Lexi Peterson led the Falcons with four shots on goal.
UWRF hosts the University of Northwestern next Saturday, Sept. 17 during the 2022 home opener.
