RIVER FALLS, Wis. – The UW-River Falls women's soccer team and Hamline University finished in a 0-0 draw after 90 minutes Wednesday afternoon at Ramer Soccer Stadium.
The NCAA rules committee approved changes for the 2022 season regarding overtime. For the regular season, overtime has been eliminated.
Both teams played stingy defense, limiting any dangerous scoring opportunities. Hamline held a slight edge on shots, 12-10, and 7-6 in shots on goal. The Pipers also three corner kicks, compared to the Falcons' one.
Lexi Peterson and
Madyson Shew led the Falcons with two shots on goal each.
Goalkeeper
Kaylie Krueger made her sixth start in goal and collected her third shutout of the season, tallying a season-high seven saves.
UWRF remains undefeated with a 7-0-2 overall record while recording its seventh shutout of the season.
The Falcons have another nonconference home game this Sunday versus Cornell College.
