DULUTH, Minn - The UW-River Falls men's hockey team dropped a non-conference game at the College of St. Scholastica Friday evening, falling 5-3 to the Saints.
The Falcons, now 6-9-1 overall, head to Saint Peter, Minn., tomorrow to face Gustavus Adolphus College.
UWRF held a 44-31 edge in shots on goal while both teams went 0-for-4 on the power play.
CSS earned a 2-1 lead in the first period, scoring first before a
Burke Simpson shorthanded effort, the Falcons' second of the season.

The home team had another answer to once again extend its lead, gaining a 4-2 advantage just over four minutes in before
Owen Belisle's first career goal as a Falcon. UWRF pulled netminder
Dean Buchholz late in an effort to tie the game, but the Saints scored an empty-netter to seal the win.

Buchholz made 26 saves while conceding the loss.
