FALCON NOTES
  • UWRF is coming off a pair of wins during the Dec. 29-30 Radisson Holiday Classic, defeating Northland College and St. Scholastica.
    • The Falcons shot nearly 50 percent from the field versus the Lumberjacks and Saints, and held a 19.5 scoring margin.
    • Marshall Holland averaged eight points and eight rebounds per game, including a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds versus Northland, and was named the Male Falcon of the Week.
  • The Falcons were picked to finish fifth in the 2022-23 WIAC Men's Basketball Preseason Poll, coming off a 2021-22 season in which the Falcons turned in a 14-10 overall record and 6-7 WIAC finish, falling to UW-Whitewater in the second round of the WIAC Tournament.
  • Sophomore center Rodrick Payne headlines the Falcons' returners as last year's WIAC Newcomer of the Year and the D3hoops.com All-Region 9 Rookie of the Year.
  • Jeff Berkhof is in his 17th season at the helm of the program. Last season, Berkhof collected his 200th career win during an 83-58 win over Howard Payne in Lincoln, Neb. He follows only his predecessor, Rick Bowen, in coaching victories at UWRF with a record of 209-193.
