NORTHFIELD, Minn. - The UW-River Falls women's soccer team fell by a score of 6-0 during a nonconference matchup at Carleton College Monday afternoon.
UWRF falls to 6-5-3 overall while a the talented Carleton squad improves to 13-1-1 overall while remaining undefeated on its home turf.
The Knights peppered 21 shot attempts on each half while limiting the Falcons to three on target, one each from
Madyson Shew,
Abby Tapanila, and
Sarah Wagner.
UWRF had two corner kick opportunities compared to Carleton's five. The Falcons trailed 2-0 at halftime before the home team put the game out of reach in the final 45 minutes, scoring four more.
In net,
Grace Zellmer made the start for the Falcons and tied a career-high with 12 saves, a season-high.
The Falcons have their final nonconference game of the regular season on Wednesday, traveling to Augsburg University.
