OSHKOSH, Wis. - The UW-River Falls women's soccer team dropped a WIAC road contest at UW-Oshkosh Saturday afternoon by a score of 2-1.
The Falcons, despite scoring the game's opening goal, conceded a pair of unanswered Titan goals to suffer the loss, dropping their overall record to 6-7-3 and 1-3-1 during conference play.
UWO outshot UWRF 16-12 while the Falcons led 8-5 in corner kicks.
The Falcons held a 7-5 shot advantage in the first half and opened the scoring at the 13
th minute as
Emery Bigler scored her fourth of the season.
Oshkosh scored about 20 minutes later to knot the score at 1-1 at halftime.
The home team compiled an 11-5 shot advantage in the final 45 minutes and eventually broke through, scoring the game-winner at the 72
nd minute.
Grace Zellmer tallied a pair of saves and took the loss in net as her season record moves to 4-5-1.
Next Wednesday the Falcons host UW-Eau Claire for their final regular season home game.
