RIVER FALLS, Wis. - The UW-River Falls women's soccer team fell 4-0 versus UW-Eau Claire Wednesday afternoon from Smith Stadium at Ramer Field.
The Falcons' overall record drops to 6-8-3 and 1-4-1 during league action. UWRF closes out its regular season on Saturday while traveling to face UW-Whitewater. The Falcons and Warhawks both have four points in the WIAC standings and will be battling for the six seed in the WIAC Tournament.
UWEC outshot the Falcons 21-3 with 14 shots on target, scoring the eventual game-winning goal under two minutes into the contest.
The Blugolds added another shot on a penalty kick at the 13th minute to lead by two goals at halftime. The visitors then held the Falcons without a shot in the final 45 minutes while scoring another pair to seal the win.
