STEVENS POINT, Wis. - The UW-River Falls women's soccer team fell 1-0 at UW-Stevens Point Saturday afternoon.
UWRF, now 5-3-3 overall and 0-1-1 in the WIAC, has its four-game unbeaten streak come to an end.
After a competitive and scoreless first half, UWSP scored the eventual game-winner at the 66th minute to earn the win.
UWRF held a slim 10-9 shot advantage in the first half while UWSP led 10-8 in the final 45 minutes.
Ellie Ketcher led the Falcons with four shots on goal, followed by three from
Madyson Shew.
Grace Zellmer made the start in net for the Falcons, making four saves while conceding the loss.
The Falcons continue WIAC action next week, heading to UW-Stout on Wednesday, Oct. 11.
