WHITEWATER, Wis. - The UW-River Falls volleyball team closed out its regular season on Saturday evening, falling in three sets at No. 6-ranked UW-Whitewater.
The Falcons wrap up the regular season with a 19-9 overall record and 3-4 WIAC ledger, and will open the WIAC Tournament next Tuesday, Nov. 7 as the No. 6 seed, traveling to face No. 3 seed UW-Platteville.
UW-Whitewater downed the Falcons by set scores of 25-16, 25-19, and 25-23. UWW had a .255 hitting percentage compared to UWRF's .172.Â
Down by two sets, the Falcons showed some fight in the third. UWRF led by as many as 19-14 but gave up five-straight Warhawk points, tying the set at 19-19.
Kameri Meredith led the Falcons with 13 kills while
Grace Boles and
Olivia Gustafsson both had 14 assists.
Brenna Olson led the defense with 14 digs.
