RIVER FALLS, Wis. – The UW-River Falls men's basketball team fell 74-61 at UW-La Crosse Wednesday evening.
The Falcons finish the regular season with an 11-14 overall record and 5-9 WIAC ledger, they will receive the No. 6 seed for the WIAC Tournament and will travel to face the No. 3 seed in the first round on Monday, Feb. 20.
While
Logan Jedwabny was held scoreless from beyond the arc, his bread and butter, he converted at the charity stripe, making 10-of-11 free throws, and led the team with 16 points.
Rodrick Payne followed with 12 points.
A rough start put the Falcons in an 18-point deficit just over 12 minutes in, and the home team led 39-24 at halftime.
The Falcons put together a rally in the second half, and at one point cut the UWL lead to to 61-55 after a pair of Jedwabny free throws with four minutes left in regulation, but that was the closest UWRF cut into the UWL advantage.
UWRF led 28-26 in the paint while UWL held a 35-32 edge in rebounds.
