LeFever finishes eighth in Gibson Invite Heptathlon, sets second-highest mark in UWRF history

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The UW-River Falls women's track & field team was represented by Lexi LeFever April 13-14 at the Gibson Invitational, hosted by Indiana State University.

LeFever competed in the women's heptathlon, totaling 4,533 points to finish eighth of 32 competitors while recording the second-highest heptathlon point total in UWRF history.

She now ranks second behind former Falcon All-American Jill Crandall, who totaled 4,989 points for third place at the 2007 NCAA Outdoor Championships.

UWRF assistant coach Jordan Gray won the Gibson Invite heptathlon, competing unattached with 5,659 points.

While competing in seven events across two days, LeFever's strongest finish came in the 200-meter dash. She compiled 883 points with a time of 25.04, finishing third.
