Ali Clifford turned in a strong showing Saturday at the UW-La Crosse Final Qualifier as she prepares for the NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships.

Clifford recorded a personal-record mark of 17.69 meters in the weight throw, a performance that now places her top-10 nationally. She also competed in the shot put, recording a throw of 13.01 meters while owning a season-best mark of 13.55 meters in the event.

With national championship entries set to be announced soon, Clifford's record-setting performance adds momentum at the right time as she looks to cap off a strong indoor campaign.
