RIVER FALLS, Wis. – The UW-River Falls volleyball team opened the UW-Eau Claire Tournament with a 3-0 win over UW-Superior Friday afternoon.
The Falcons improved to 7-2 on the season beating the Yellowjackets 25-19, 25-20, and 25-18.
UWRF collected 40 kills in 135 attempts for a .156 hitting percentage. In the first set, the Falcons hit a match high .279 while collecting 16 kills. They limited Superior to just a ,102 hitting percentage and forced them into 18 errors.
Sami Hilley led the Falcons with 9 kills while
Brenna Olson had 13 digs and both
Hannah Polk and
Grace Boles.had 14 assists
Tomorrow, the Falcons are set to face Beloit College and St. Catherine University in day two of the tournament.
