WAVERLY, Iowa - The UW-River Falls volleyball team collected two wins Friday night at the Wartburg Invitational.
UW-River Falls 3, Cornell 2
The Falcons defeated No. 14 Cornell College in five sets. The Falcons won the match 25-21, 23-25, 25-20, 20-25, 15-11.
Freshman outside hitter
Lauren Noth had a career night collecting 22 kills in the big win for the Falcons.
Kameri Meredith had a double double of 14 kills and 20 digs.
Sami Hilley also saw double digit kills with 10.
The Falcon offense hit .214 with 64 kills while holding the Rams to just a .183 hitting percentage. UWRF's best set came in the first when they hit .394.
Grace Boles assisted on the attack with 39 assists and
Brenna Olson led the defense with 28 digs.

In the Friday night late game, the Falcons defeated host Wartburg College in three sets 25-14, 25-23 and 25-19.
Sami Hilley was the leading offensive player with12 kills and a .550 hitting percentage.
The Falcons again came out of the gates strong hitting .386 in the first set while holding Wartburg to .143 their lowest hitting percentage of the match.
UWRF had 45 kills and hit .281.
Boles led UWRF with 22 assists and
Brenna Olson added 17 digs.
The Falcons who are now 10-4 overall finish out day two of the tournament against St. Norbert at 11 am Saturday.
