RIVER FALLS, Wis. - The UW-River Falls women's soccer team rallied from a two-goal deficit for a 2-2 result against Bethany Lutheran College Sunday evening from Smith Stadium at Ramer Field.
The Falcons outshot the Vikings 21-6 along with a 7-1 corner kick advantage, with the physical back-and-forth contest leading to 16 fouls and a pair of cards.
BLC pounced on early Falcon mistakes, scoring on their first shot attempt just under four minutes in. Soon after, UWRF took a yellow card which resulted in a Viking penalty kick, and UWRF found themselves in a 2-0 deficit seven minutes into the match.

Ellie Ketcher, who scored her first collegiate goal on Friday, scored another to get the Falcons in the scoring column at the 28th minute, assisted by fellow Falcon freshman
Emery Bigler, and UWRF headed to halftime down 2-1.
The Falcons held a 10-3 shot advantage in the final 45 minutes, and it took just 54 seconds into the second half for
Ellie Ketcher to score her second of the game and knot the score at 2-2, where it stood at final time.
Lexi Peterson led the Falcons with three shots on goal.
Kaylie Krueger and
Grace Zellmer each played a half in net, combining for three saves.
The Falcons (1-0-1) remains at home this Thursday, Sept. 7, hosting the University of Minnesota-Morris.
